The Loss of "Due Process of Law" in Canada

The RCMP wishes to be independent; outside the control of Parliament. Bill Blair is under absolutely no control from Toronto City Council nor the Provincial Government nor any other elected organization. He acts as if he "runs the city". In his answer to the Ombudsman (G20) from Victoria he referred to Toronto as "My City!" and that the Ontario Government had no jurisdiction in any matter concerning the Toronto Police Force. CSIS just had a Federal Justice find a man guilty of being a terrorist without due process of law. The man had a defence counsel but could not obtain in a Canadian Court the evidence being presented against him at his trial. He knew only the charge; everything else was confidential and only available to the justice. "You are a terrorist" says the justice...case closed!!!

Personally,  I believe we are living in a "police state". If you speak against the government, police, intelligence services of Canada you can be charged as a terrorist and basically disappear.

I have come to believe that our only recourse is civil unrest..... to restore a semblance of democracy; however, I believe it is too late. I have screamed this to whom ever would listen over the last 40 years. People listen while looking at their shoes, shrug their shoulders and immediately change the topic. I guess this country is made up of cowards, people who emigrated to Canada because they would not fight in their own country for what they believed. People who were forced out of their society due to a lack of will and strength of character. Where do we go now people? Canadians are not apathetic they are simply cowards who believe if they ignore a predator like Blair he will go away. We will never learn and besides that we have already lost our freedom. Asking the Canadian public to fight is almost laughable!

What a Waste of Time!!!!!!!!!!!! Bill Blair (G20)

Bill Blair and the Toronto Police department are guilty of hundreds of breaches of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Canada. I think we all agree with that statement.

After 67 years of experience I can tell you that nothing will be done about these breaches except for a lot of rhetoric. Time will pass, the people will forget and again I say "Nothing will happen!"

The people must start to take an interest in their own government (Municipal, Provincial and Federal). Your vote is your sword; yet, less than 50% of us vote in any election. If today each of you picked up a phone or sent an email to your MP, MPP or City Councillor deploring the actions of the Toronto Police Force (G20) and continued this weekly until you received a written response from same, maybe, just maybe something would get done. We literally deserve what has happened! One day we will wake up and find a guy like Blair controlling the country and armed men in our streets and WE WILL DESERVE IT!!!!

"Lock and load" people because if these deplorable actions continue you will lose your freedom!

I Demand Rob Fords Resignation

The rules governing candidates for Mayor of Toronto, concerning campaign contributions, are simple. "No candidate can accept political campaign donations over $750 and all contributions must come from an individual not a corporate or business interest". At the end of the election Rob Ford, the elected candidate, owed $650,000 over  the total legal money donated to him during the election. Thus Rob Ford was in debt $650,000 in campaign expenses.

The election being over Rob Ford and two other top rated candidates in the last election have a party seeking donations from those attending to cover their losses. Mr Smitherman, also a candidate, being backed by the Ralph Lean QC, Cassels Brock, representing what I refer to as the "syndicate, had no remaining debt. He also attended the party. As a result Rob Ford is now out of debt thanks to the "syndicate" as represented by Mr. Leans' corporate clients. So after the election Mr Ford reaches out his hand and criminally violates the rules set out in Elections Toronto regarding campaign contributions.

What do I expect from the taxpayers of Toronto in regard to Mr. Fords criminality?... Nothing!!!!
When only less than 50% of the electorate vote, I expect the people of Toronto to do nothing! I expect Elections Toronto to do nothing! I expect Bill Blair and the Attorney General of Ontario to do nothing!

Basically, if the election was a horse race, the winning horse (Mr. Ford) came out of the gate with one jockey and showed up in the winners circle with a new jockey in the saddle.

Democracy my ass!!!

Same Old! Same Old!

I have listened to Rob Ford and read what he had to say in the press over the last few days. In addition, I have spoken with men in their 80's who were players years ago in Toronto politics and associated with Norm Goodhead (former Mayor of North York 1959/1963) my father. The election has solved nothing my friends. The same organized crime syndicate is alive and well in Toronto. They simply jumped on to a new horse after the race was over.

"Tell the people, Mr. Ford, what you have done; tell the people about the closed door meetings you had here and in Florida over the last month!"

I have come to believe that there is not an honest man/woman in this world; we  deserve everything we get in this life.

Have a good weekend my friends,

Assassination

One of Stephen Harpers Ministers yesterday advocated that the President of Wikileaks should be assassinated. Shortly thereafter he withdrew and apologized for his remarks; but, I believe we all know what he truly believes. Harpers government advocated murder because the man released unedited diplomatic cables to the public concerning Canada . God forbid that you or I should know the truth about the actions of those we elect. This opens a window into the soul of Stephen Harper.

Assassination I believe is a necessary tool! I believe that if a democratic government oversteps their limits and breaches the law of the land, action should be taken. If a government is covertly undermining their own democratic country; creating a police state; not adhering to the constitution, Bill of Rights or Charter of Rights and Freedoms; engaging in actions contrary to the criminal code of the land and threatening the freedom of its people; it leaves the people no other plausible alternative. The people would have the right to act in self defense, to protect themselves and their families by the use of assassination.

I agree with the minister and the Harper Government in that assassination is necessary in todays world of political egomaniacs. I hope that if confronted with this problem the people of Canada will react exactly as has been sanctified by the Prime Ministers Office.

Stephen Harper: Traitor to Canada

Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, (hereafter PM), is obsessed with "power". He believes and acts as if he is immune from the laws of Canada and the rules of society that so many Canadian boys have given their lives to protect. This from a man who was not elected by the people of Canada. He was elected in a constituency in Alberta and then "ordained" Prime Minister by the Conservative Party.

Why are we fighting in Afghanistan? Not to protect the people of Afghanistan of that I am sure. When Canadian soldiers leave that country it will fall back to where it began, the Stone Age. We are there because PM decided to increase his prestige in International Politics on the world stage. Our soldiers are being killed and maimed for PM. PM lives for the power he has as Prime Minister and we (Canadians) can go to hell!

Today I would like to inform you that the RCMP has at least three separate corporations outside of the control of Parliament (Eastern Construction being one). Taxpayer money paid for the development of these corporations; but, the taxpayer has no control over the function of these corporations. PM knows this; PM approves this; PM has encouraged the growth of this private RCMP army.

See you at the "labour camps" my friends!

TREASON; The RCMP Commissioner

Last week William Elliott (hereafter WE), Commissioner of the RCMP announced to the press that he will be seeking greater self control for the RCMP. By this "self control" WE refers to independence for the RCMP from governmental control i.e. no longer will the RCMP be responsible to Parliament nor to the voters of Canada. WE requests an independent force. Independent in their finances, internal discipline, hiring , firing of staff and policy. This will give the right to WE "to command and deploy" 1,000's of "armed" men and women across Canada. This will be an independent army, a military unit acting throughout Canada not responsible to parliament or the people of Canada.  If PM Harper grants, in whole or in part, any of WE requests then the Prime Minister will be guilty of "TREASON".

Just look at what Bill Blair did in Toronto at the G20 with the blessing of the Prime Ministers Office. At the G20 we had tens of thousands of various police force officers acting with a "carte blanche" from the PMO. "Get the job done at any costs", said the PMO and the idiot Bill Blair shredded the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Canada. Now if we multiply that across Canada and give the RCMP independence from Parliamentary control we will have a police state. No matter how the PMO sugar coats WE's request, it is pure TREASON.

Please! The people of Canada must defend the Charter and the democratic, sovereignty of Canada. The people of Canada must put a stop to WE and the RCMP, etc. I remember hearing a phrase when I was young. "The man/women who pays someone to protect them is no longer free". They have taken away are guns (self and family protection) and now even our freedom is in doubt.

Simply, I say to you now, scream bloody murder to the press, to your Federal MP and to your neighbour.
THIS IS TREASON!!!!!!!

Chief Blair Is Killing Our Children

Four people dead in eleven shootings in Toronto in this last week alone. Chief Blair does nothing. It would seem that Chief Blair is only accomplished at breaching the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. He is "top of the class" in stopping justified legal actions against fellow officers and in protecting Mayor Elect Rob Ford in regards to Mr. Fords criminal misjudgments i.e. Assaulting his wife and offering to purchase illegal drugs for a constituent in dire need of "a fix".  One tenth of Toronto's budget goes to Chief Blair"s gang; yet, they cannot get guns out of the hands of teenagers in this city.

What do we hear from Mayor Elect Ford and Chief Blair?.....NOTHING!

Chief Blair is a disgrace to his uniform and to the residents of the City of Toronto. I apologize for Chief Blair's inability to "police" our city. I apologize because I believe that family members of those hurt and murdered deserve an apology from the city or at the very least an apology from one person who cares.

PRESS RELEASE

I am announcing today that I will run as a candidate for a Member of the Provincial Parliament (MPP) representing  the "Toronto-Danforth" district. The Liberal Majority Government is on the brink of calling a provincial election. I have no "party" association. The voter is entitled to elect a candidate to act on their behalf and on their behalf only.  If elected I will not be a MPP;  I will be the people of "Toronto-Danforth's" representative in the Provincial Parliament of Ontario.

Continuous Breaches of The Charter of Rights and Freedoms

Chief Bill Blair and the Toronto Police Department not only consider themselves to be above the law  but, actually think they run the City of Toronto. This goes back past Mel Lastman as Mayor. I am sure you remember when the police were selling bumper stickers i.e. "Friend of the Police" to residents of Toronto. This was a twist on the old "protection" racket of the 1920's and 30's. Give them money and they would leave you alone. . Mel Lastman stated "I thought they worked for us.". Oh! Yah! Sure Mel! Time after time officers with the police escape justice by being abetted  by the Attorney General of Ontario, the Law Society of Upper Canada and obstruction of justice by fellow officers.

City Council and the Police Force are corrupt to a point where it has become laughable. Bill Blair at the G20 with "carte blanche" from the Federal Government made a mess of security, breached the "Charter"(basically used the "Charter" as toilet paper) and cost this city millions of dollars. WAIT FOR IT!! Then Bill Blair has the nerve to announce that he came in under budget for security at the G20. I don't know whether to laugh or go to 40 College St and beat the ignorant swine.

The people of Toronto have the power in this city. If you agree get on Twitter, Facebook etc. and demand an investigation into the Toronto Police Department.

Do you know that the Police have their own corporation? They actually sell personal information  on "you" my friend to domestic and foreign security services. All city spin off corporations have the right of privacy and therefore their books, actions, etc are not available for scrutiny by the voter, the Mayor or City Council. They act with immunity and where their profits go is a mystery to me.; but there are vast profits! This is simply a micro view of what goes on in the world today. We have a "show government" to at least represent democracy but we are actually governed by a corporate structured mini government; not open to the public, voted on by the public nor agreed to by the public.

We have become slaves due to our ignorance, complacency and apathy. City Council is a front for what I refer to as the "Syndicate". The syndicate holds a majority of the votes in city council and the mayor has absolutely no power.

Have a good weekend

Special Investigation Unit (S.I.U.)

The SIU is bought and paid for by politicians who appoint its members to protect Ontario police officers from the rule of law. The last enquiry into the SIU, as conducted by the Ontario Ombudsman came to the conclusion that the members of the SIU were "wearing blue tinted glasses" as reflected in their decisions. The Ontario Attorney General did nothing and the matter died, as they always do, because our press and media reported the findings and then dropped the story. "Status Quo" my friends! Simply, Status Quo!

Every time we turn around we find we live under one set of rules and the Politicians and their minions live under their own rules. Freedom, democracy and justice are ancient history in Toronto because we will not fight for what is ours. To the Reader: If your son tonight was killed by a police officer and it was obvious to you that your son was murdered by the officer through his conduct, where do you find justice? No where my friend! Nowhere!

If we do not come together to protect our families, our homes, jobs, freedoms and democracy we will be raped over and over again. In numbers, we have strength and power, alone we are sheep giving up our lambs every spring for slaughter!

I am open for any ideas you may have on the matter. I only hope there are some of you who feel as I do!!!!!

The Political Sleaze Toronto Breeds

Mayor elect Rob Ford intends to "superficially" stop the "gravy train". No one will be charged with a criminal offense; no one will even be named. Its called a "whitewash".

TCHC sells 8 properties for less than $400,000 while valued at at $8 Million and top TCHC staff are promoted. We are paying out $1.3 Million in "golden parachutes" to former city council politicians, Bill Blair admits his officers were wrong to arrest hundreds of innocent bystanders (G20/8) and pleads ignorance to knowing about it at the time. Blair has cost us $Millions in civil litigation. No one will get fired; no one will be charged and Mayor Ford will tell us that was in the "past", "before his time as Mayor" and that will be the end of it!

If the people of this city were smart they would band together, march on city hall, toss these bastards into a recycling container and ship it to Afghanistan marked "infidels". No matter what we do or who we elect you can be sure we will get screwed. Why? Because we let them do it. Not once mind you; but, over and over again we let them f--k us over. The police believe that Toronto is "their" city; the politicians say the same thing and the "syndicate" that actually runs this ghetto differ only in that they know they are the power in Toronto. What of the voters i.e. the taxpayers in this city? They relinquished their freedom and power. They are unorganized, apathetic and reluctant as individuals to argue with the above.

I have been screaming this into cyberspace  for months and I received 740 votes for Mayor in the last election. This to me was wonderful as I did not attend any meetings or spend a dime on advertising. For my troubles I now have Metro Toronto Police as bodyguards. They follow me around, park a cruiser down the street from my home, etc, etc. The police in Toronto are simply a very large "biker gang" with haircuts. We actually pay these guys to take away are freedom. There is not a place in Toronto that the taxpayer is not on a security camera.

We are branded and herded sheep unwilling to take back our freedom.

Open Letter to Mayor Elect Rob Ford and Chief of Toronto Police Bill Blair

Mr. Mayor:

I suggest that you immediately remove Bill Blair from his duties. Please ask the Attorney General of Ontario to initiate an investigate into Mr. Blair's criminal activities, his breaches of the "Charter", his obstruction of justice and his condoning of various shootings by his officers during his tenure as Chief of Toronto Police. Now I warned you a year ago about Blair and Millers criminal activities and you have failed to answer any of my emails. I warned you about Ralph Lean, Cassels Brock and you did nothing. Is this a sample of your what the public can expect while you hold office???

I want Bill Blair removed from office pending a criminal investigation. Authoritarian scum like Blair have no place in a free and democratic society. I also suggest to you that the position of Police Chief is too important to be handed out by a self serving City Council. This position should be an elected position in any democracy. The last time I told you this you stated "You should run for Mayor". You are now the Mayor Mr. Ford. Clean up that small army of gun toting swaggering thugs Mr. Ford and rid this city of the SIU. You and I both know the SIU is nothing but a group of overpaid "rubber stamps condoning murder".

Toronto Housing/The Curse of the Poor

Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), formerly Ontario Housing, is the worst managed spin-off corporation of municipal government in Toronto. TCHC is the breeding ground for cockroaches, bedbugs and rats in this city. Many of the elevators in high rise buildings (18+ floors) do not work, are in repair or in service due to constant staff usage. In a society where every day the taxpayer claws out a living as best he/she can, it is difficult to feel sorry for those we feel are "using the system" at our expense; yet, the majority of TCHC clients are the elderly, the mentally and physically handicapped, dysfunctional members of society etc.

"Using the system", in Toronto is a two way street. TCHC just sold, I believe to be eight properties, valued at over $8 million for less than $400,000. Please tell me no one at TCHC took a kick back for this sale. I can guarantee you that hands were extended to the purchasers of these properties by TCHC staff. Mayor Miller is leaving and before Mr. Ford takes the dirty reins of council there has begun a fire sale of city assets. Debts are being payed to political supporters and public servants are stealing from the taxpayer.
Ralph Leans clients are drawing their last paydays out of this bankrupt city.

You know! Bill Blair (Chief of Police) knows all about these criminal acts but instead of doing his duty he flops his "fat ass" down on "our" chair and does squat. Blair knows about Ralph Lean and his band of organized hoods (respected business men). Blair sends an officer to Leans office every month to pickup an envelope from Cassels Brock, You see Bill Blair does not work for the taxpayer. He works for men like Ralph Lean, Cassels Brock, the Mayor and City Councillors. He protects these people and organizations foremost. The taxpayers to Chief Blair are simply the sheep that have to be herded to a controlled position where the "boys" can shear them at their leisure. Chief Blair is above the law because he is not responsible to you or me. He is not elected! He is appointed by city council. Bill Blair is the worst kind of cop! Bill Blair is a liar and a thief. He abets and simply allows organized crime to flourish in the City of Toronto.

Have a great day!!

Good Morning Toronto

Its a new day my friend, the elections are over and I have lost my bid to become Mayor of Toronto. The issues facing the people of Toronto still exist and will continue to persist until the new council gets down to work and remedies the problems left in the wake of David Millers deliberate mistakes.

Just to begin this new blog let us look at the money "we" must pay to the retiring, incumbent mayor and city councilors who have lost their seats in the last election and those who have resigned. This amounts to over a $1 Million; a golden parachute that was voted in by Toronto city councillors to feather their nests at the taxpayers expense. Will the Mayor elect Rob Ford accept this "highway robbery" of the public purse; will he stop these payments  or simply ignore them? I believe we all know the answer to that question. So much for good solid business management that Mr. Ford has been talking about in his campaign.

Metropolitan Toronto Police are in the courts over their criminal act and breaches of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms regarding their actions during the G20 and G8 conference. We have heard nothing from Mr. Ford on the future of Chief Bill Blair. We have heard that Mr. Ford will add 100 new police officers to a force that not only is dysfunctional but costs the taxpayer 10% of our yearly budget. This does not include the legal  costs and judicial dollar judgments yet to be awarded to claimants under the "Charter"(G20).

Mr. Ford was earlier charged by Toronto police for assaulting his wife; however this was dismissed due to "conflicting testimony". Thank you Chief Blair! Recently, there was a matter of Mr. Ford offering to buy illegal drugs for a constituent in a taped telephone conversation. This is still under investigation by Toronto police pending the conclusion of the election (I guess). Now Mr. Ford is a defendant in a defamation case before the courts. I ask Mr Ford, "Will 100 new police officers satisfy, pay your debt to Chief Blair or will the taxpayer continue to pay for your mental lapses in good judgement?"

Mr. Ford will be "kissing Bill Blair's ass" for the next four years and we will be pay the freight!

Have a great day my friends!

Congratulations to Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

Thanks to all those who took the time to vote in this election. I would ask that each of you take a deeper interest in municipal, provincial and federal politics. The people have a great power in a democracy by their vote. Last night only 50% of those eligible to vote did so. This is tragic.

Mr. Ford! Well done! If you keep your election promises the next four years will be eventful and hopefully progressive. Well done Rob!!!!

Our Financial Future

Toronto is obviously reliant on Provincial and Federal funding, especially in the development of our future rapid transit systems. Under current agreements this funding will continue; however, I believe it is time that City Council endorse the creation of a Toronto owned financial institution to control and support the city's financial future. This  financial corporation will allow the city to offer competitive mortgages and insurance coverage to Toronto residents and in turn assist the city in the development of the Toronto Waterfront.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada. There is absolutely no need for Toronto to go "hat in hand " to the Federal or Provincial Governments seeking handouts. By initiating the above we will keep Toronto dollars in Toronto. We (the voter) will then control are own financial future by better servicing the financial needs of our residents.

The Toronto Syndicate/the Untouchables

I filed a complaint about 8 months ago with the Law Society of Upper Canada against David Miller, Mayor of Toronto and Ralph Lean Q.C. a senior partner at Cassels Brock Law Firm re racketeering charges. I also sent a 60 page complaint to William Blair regarding (in part) the above racketeering complaint. William Blair, Police Chief of Toronto, ignored my complaint while the Law Society of Upper Canada stated I should file a complaint with the police. Around and around I went.

As a result I gave my 60 page complaint to CSIS on Front Street West in Toronto and my life has been hell ever since. I hope they are investigating my complaint.

What does a resident of Toronto do if he feels that a member of the City Council is abusing his/her position and is involved in racketeering? The Mayor is instrumental in appointing the Chief of Police. Ralph Lean boasts he is the King Maker (financed Millers election) in Toronto politics. In reality all three are above the law. Ergo the syndicate of racketeers consists of (some) City Council members as backed by Ralph Lean, William Blair, the Chief of Police, David Miller, Mayor of Toronto and of course the many businessmen who donate vast amounts of money to elect candidates in Toronto and Ontario elections through Cassels Brock Law Firm. This syndicate monopolizes control of Toronto City Council; they choose who gets what contracts with the city and the legal wording of these contracts; who is appointed to what civil committees; who is appointed Chief of Police etc. They are "The Untouchables".

I write this to explain why I am a candidate for Mayor. I knew I could not win this election. I could however, inform the voters where their tax money goes and why the city is $3 Billion in debt.

I watched yesterday as one syndicate politician after the other threw "their support" to another syndicate politician. It is called "marketing". They get CP24 to cover in depth this back slapping. It is free political advertising courtesy of CTV.

Anyway Mr. and Ms Voter it is up to you now! I have had my say.

The King Maker, Ralph Lean Q.C.

*Ralph Lean of Cassels Brock Law Firm is a "bag man"; yet, he considers himself a political King maker. His firm is Cassels Brock law firm. Retired Premier (Ontario) Peterson, also of Cassels Brock, is no stranger to Russian racketeers. Cassels Brock, through Mr. Lean, engineers our municipal elections using his clients money who in turn seek contracts from the city as payment. Mr. Lean was appointed by Mayor Miller (one of Leans puppets) to the prestigious Film and Waterfront Committees. These actions resemble the 1920s and 30s with Lansky and Capone. Ralph Lean is backing Mr. Smitherman in this election so I suggest to you the pattern is about to repeat itself and the voter will pay the freight!

*Ladies and Gentlemen  this election is FIXED and I am asking Elections Toronto to stay this election!

THIS IS A REPOST FROM OCTOBER, 2010. THEIR SEEMS TO BE SOME INTEREST IN THIS POST. SMITHERMAN LOST BUT WE GOT FORD IN STEAD. EITHER WAY WE LOST.

CP24/CTV ARE PROPAGANDA CRIMINALS

CP24 (CTV) is in bed with Ralph Lean Q.C., of Cassels Brock Law Firm i.e. the bag man (Millers cash resource) for Mr. Smitherman in the election for Mayor . They "rig" who gets on their televised debates and have Mr. Smitherman on their broadcasts so often it has become nauseating to watch. Hell, I don't like Mr. Ford as a man or a politician but when CTV (summarizing last nights debate) on CP24 calls Mr. Ford "fat' and then brings on Smitherman as a down to earth fiscally responsible candidate for mayor, my insides rebel. Mr. Smitherman is a dysfunctional thief. He mismanaged provincial tax dollars provided by you and me (the people of Ontario) while Minister of Health of Ontario ($1 Billion disappeared). He resigned as Health Minister, resigned from his seat as MPP thus leaving his constituents without provincial representation in government. Then he runs to Toronto and says to you and me, "As your mayor I will remove the deficit from Toronto's books and give you honest efficient and fiscally responsible, municipal government. "Yahoo!!! Just the man we need as mayor", says CP24 (CTV).

When are we, the voters, ever going to wake up and rid ourselves of these two faced, self serving trash????

A DEBATE BETWEEN IDIOTS

Last nights debate at the Masonic Temple was pitiful: It was a landmark in how dysfunctional our political system has become.

There was not one candidate for mayor, at that debate, that deserves to be elected. If any of the medias handpicked candidates for mayor (5) are elected, this city will become mired in gridlock and social turmoil.

I speak to you now as a voter not a candidate for mayor, "Please vote for one of the other 32 candidates; a candidate who has no "strings" attached to their plans for this great city; a candidate that will represent your views and not the one who will pursue his/her own agenda ignoring the people who elected him/her.

I entered this race because I wanted to at least once have the opportunity to tell the voter how city councils, in the past, have been under the influence of racketeers. I do not mean that every past mayor or councillor was criminal in their actions; I mean that the majority of those voting on vital issues concerning the future of Toronto, sitting on city council, were under the influence of outside forces (racketeers). The center of this influence stems from Cassel Brock Law Firm i.e. Mr. Ralph Lean, Q.C. . Mr. Lean was appointed (by Mayor Miller) to the Waterfront Revitalization board and to the board concerning the Film Industry in Toronto. He was appointed to these prestigious positions in payment for his financing of the elections of various candidates for council and for mayor. Mr. Lean holds the strings. He was Mayor Millers puppeteer.
Mr. Lean is now fiscally supporting Mr. Smitherman and others in this civic election. "Around and around we go!!!!!!"

Please vote and vote well. This is your city! Elect the best candidates for Mayor and City Council!

City in Turmoil and Gridlock

Not one of the supposed, media hyped, top candidates for Mayor of Toronto are fit to represent this city. We do not need someone to be "the Face of the city"; what we do need is a new mayor that will manage and develop this city in a manner that will please and excite the voter as to the city's future.

I am that man.

The development of the waterfront of this city is of premier importance to its fiscal and social development.
The waterfront will be the terminus of any mass transportation system i.e. the TTC, etc. Without a plan for the development of our waterfront any extension of or new transit route construction will create a nightmare for future transit users. Not one political candidate has so much as mentioned the waterfront of Toronto. If you have read my previous "posts" you will know that the new real estate capital and tax base  generated by the development of the Toronto Waterfront is the key to reversing our city debt and financing a new central rapid transit system for Toronto. This development will help support ethnic minority housing sites and employment for 1000,s of people from professional to unskilled laborers. Our tax base will double and our prestige throughout Canada and the World will soar.

If elected I promise the people of Toronto a new, profitable and exciting waterfront extending into our daily lives; I promise fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the operations of our city. I promise not to be the "Face of the City"but only to work for the people of Toronto, to the best of my ability, with your help and your   guidance.

Respectfully

WATERFRONT OF TOMORROW

To remove the Gardiner Expressway, to free up new land for development and to modernize the Toronto waterfront, I propose that a Gardiner Expressway Extension be constructed extending out into Lake Ontario enclosing the Toronto Waterfront from Humber Bay Shore Park, across Humber Bay, south of or part of the Toronto Islands and connecting to the Don Valley Parkway at its eastern terminus. At least two bridges would be required for access into and out of Humber Bay and Toronto Harbor.

This would enclose a large area of Lake Ontario to be partially filled and used for development by the City of Toronto as it pleases, adding a vast amount of real estate capital to the City of Toronto.  University and Yonge Street could be extended into the new developing waterfront area The elevated portion of the Gardiner Expressway would be removed. Surface rapid transit could be included in the design of the Highway to connect with the Yonge and University transit system.

The engineering required has already been done by the Dutch and Japanese. The expertise is there; its simply a matter of political will and commitment to develop our waterfront. The financial cost to the city would not only be offset by the value of the real estate created and could finance all future subway extensions needed by the city.

This is a simple concept of what could be accomplished by men and women with a view to the future of Toronto. This is fiscally possible and would create world attention.

The newspapers and the media censor the news and very rarely print anything said against incumbent politicians or "status quo" political candidates. This is supposed to be a Democracy; however, the media is in bed with the politicians and the police. This is not "status quo"; this is racketeering. A free press (media) does not exist in Toronto

This whole city council, media and police are one big MOB of racketeers who shear the sheep (you and me) day after day, year after year. If you complain you are ignored, harassed and then defamed by the press and could be imprisoned. All of the above are under the protection of the Metropolitan Police Force led by a Chief (Blair) who is appointed by these same politicians. They back Blair's actions, right or wrong. We should rename this city Chicago and change the date to 1930.

We will never rid ourselves of these parasites until the public, you and me, band together at the polls and "throw them out on their fat asses". You can always tell a good candidate for Mayor. He/she will be the one that you know nothing about; the one who has received no media coverage.

In a rigged election it will become obvious to the voter that something is wrong when you say to yourselves, "I guess I'll vote for candidate X as he/she is the lesser evil" or "better the devil I know". In most cases we shamefully do not even bother to vote

IN THE NAME OF DECENCY MR/MS VOTER  PLEASE VOTE THESE BASTARDS OUT OF OFFICE!!! WE MUST PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND OUR FREEDOMS.

People have fought and died to preserve these rights and that freedom to choose our leaders in a free election.

My Platform Restated

In all my posts I have tried to explain to you, the voter, how politics in the City of Toronto has been and is a quasi corrupt organization. From the Police Department to the Mayors' Office your money (taxes) is wasted by politicians who owe favors to their political backers, by deliberate theft (kick-backs), by deliberately inflated budgets and by politicians who simply have no idea what they are doing. I am not the first to say "the City is corrupt"; but I bet I'm the first person who can prove it in a court of law.

If elected I will:

1. have a complete forensic audit done showing "value for dollar" across the board on all city expenditures.
2. hire a new city auditor, completely independent of political influence to assure an honest accounting.
3. freeze all new/replacement hiring city wide
4. immediately cut 10% from the Toronto Police budget and 5% from all other city departments
5. refuse to pay contract cost over runs and penalize contractors for work not finished as contracted.
6. stop all outside consulting firm hiring as the city has excellent staff to serve our needs.
7. stop all media (T.V., radio, newspaper) advertising by the city and rely on the Web
8. have city lawyers draw up a standard city contract for all designated work supplied by out side firms.
9. stop all expense accounts across the board (transportation expenses will be allowed). This will include removing office expenses for City Councillors.

No money will be spent on TTC expansion until I am assured and shown that the existing system has been fiscally trimmed to its top operating efficiency.
The Police Department needs a new Chief of Police (after the G8 and G20 disaster). The new chief should be outside of the rank and file and preferably a business manager with a proven record of excellence (To be elected in the future. Not appointed by City Council). Internally the force should be evaluated as to their operational and investigative methods regarding "gun" crimes in the city.

If all the above changes prove successful the Toronto taxpayer should enjoy a reduction in property tax and the removal of frivolous additional taxes imposed by the last City Council and an increase in the efficiency of all civic operations. If we take some of the existing tax burden off the taxpayer and increase civic services, I will have done my part.

Respectfully,

BC Goodhead

Where your tax money goes!

Norm Goodhead (my father) owned the Stouffville Landfill that leaked heavy metals into the Stouffville water supply in the late 1970's. Norm also owned the land that the Toronto Zoo is situated on today. He had asked Metro Toronto for a license to put a landfill on the site but was refused. Metro in turn expropriated the property and put a landfill and the zoo on the site. Norm was furious. He also owned Superior Crawford Sand and Gravel in Vaughan and the Honey Pot Ski Lodge. These properties encompassed the block bordered by Dufferin, Major MacKenzie, Keele up to Tenson Road. In the late 1970's early 1980's Metro Toronto (with Paul Godfrey as Metro Chairman) bought a small part of this property for $70 million plus. This property could have been expropriated for $1.2 million (purchase price) and would have included all the property as outlined above. Metro Toronto wanted this gravel pit to dump garbage and it became known as the Keele Valley Landfill site, This left Norm some industrial zoned land and the ski lodge which is now the Eagles Nest Golf Club. Great deal for Norm Goodhead; but, a bad deal for Metro taxpayers

Norm Goodhead from 1959 to 1963 was the Mayor (Reeve) of North York. He passed away in October of 2009 at 92 years of age. The son of my fathers campaign manager at the time was Paul Godfrey. Norm became Paul's mentor and confidant; Norm paid Paul's political bills. When Paul was running for Metro Chairman my father told me that he had just paid $25,000 for a party at the old Inn on the Park that he was not even allowed to attend. It was a party thrown by Paul Godfrey for Toronto Council members only. This was to sway the council into electing Paul, Metro Chairman. Paul became the next Metro Toronto Chairman and hence the purchase of Superior Crawford Sand and Gravel and not its expropriation.

At the time of the above purchase I asked my father if this was enough. He grinned and explained to me how he had just bought the inheritance of two boys up in St Thomas. Apparently their father hated Norm and would not sell his property to him. My father in turn bought out the boys inheritance on speculation. This property was just purchased by Metro Toronto for the new Toronto Landfill Site for $273 million. This was good for Norm;  but, bad for Toronto taxpayers.

I told this to Toronto Council and Mayor Miller and explained to them that the land around the Keele Valley landfill was also dotted in illegal toxic dump sites. I received no answer or questions about this from Mayor Miller.

Anyway I could go on and on as to scams, thefts, etc concerning public property and money.  Norm Goodhead paid off Metropolitan police; he became the "bagman" for the Conservative Party of Ontario and a very high ranking member of the Freemasons. His most often used remark "If they only knew what they have just elected"

Toronto $3 billion in debt; Ontario $120 billion in debt. I decided to run for Mayor because I thought it would give me a voice. A voice that would reach the people of Toronto and yet, the media ignores me. Anyway I'm here and I will continue to speak even if no one listens. I am in no way a politician; I hate politicians.

To The Voters of Toronto

I was asked by Richard Boehnke (416-621-5089) of the Markland Homes Association/Islington Ratepayers and Residents' Association to speak at an "All Candidates Meeting" to be held at Silverthorn Collegiate on Sept. 20th.

I received an email yesterday stating what I could or could not say when I address the meeting.  "Only say what is wrong with the City and how you would make changes if given the chance." However, do not name any other candidate, nor make accusations of any kind etc. If you say something that we don't like we will cut-off your mike." Democracy and Freedom are wonderful objectives yet, the concept hasn't reached Mr. Boehnke as of today.

The problem with the city is racketeering by some of the elected, appointed and public officials at City Hall. The answer is to remove those responsible from public office and to elect some person who will rectify the problem.

If I look at the Toronto taxpayer on the average I see someone who wishes to have his/her taxes lowered and his/her services increased. The average taxpayer knows there has been criminal mismanagement of their tax dollars and yet refuses to admit or act on this knowledge. I feel that some how we expect this theft to occur in city government and we feel powerless to prevent it. As a result we simply vote for anyone who promises to lower our taxes and increase our services, even when we know his/her promises will never happen. This is the main reason for the low voter turn out at the polls.

If you want truth; if you want change; if you want a decrease in taxes and an increase in services please vote wisely,

I have refused to attend the September 20th "All Candidates Meeting"

Repeal of all new taxes imposed by Toronto Council

It is my position that, if elected, all tax increases imposed by Toronto Council on the people of Toronto (over the last year) be removed. By cutting 10% from the police budget, stopping the use of private consultants by the city and cutting 5% from all other department budgets this can be accomplished. There is a lot of waste in the city budget that can offset the oppressive tax burden on the people of Toronto. To accomplish this goal we will need a new auditor. I do not believe the existing auditor to be independent from political influence. We need a clean slate and a new forensic audit of each department within the city government structure.

My experience in government departmental budgets dictates that this audit should be done immediately after the election. Budgets are always "padded" by department heads and are never, ever less than the year before. Department heads will be held responsible under the law and by the Office of the Mayor if the audit shows problems under their management.

In Addition:

1. City Councillors that miss Toronto Council meetings will be fined unless there has been a medical emergency.
2. Councillors and the Mayor are hired full time by the people of Toronto. All city council members shall not have any other source of employment as this will distract their attention away from their duty or may influence decisions made by City Council.

Under this guide (above) taxes imposed on the people of Toronto and the $3 Billion debt owed by the city will decrease substantially.

"Above the Law"

City Council and the Mayor ignored the law yesterday and passed a bylaw granting Councillors
A. Heap and G. Mammoliti, $83,375 and $95,973 respectfully for legal expenses incurred in fighting a 2006 audit of their election spending.

I try to be positive in my blog but it is almost impossible.

The City is now $3 Billion in debt; the Province is now $120 Billion in debt. We all know where the money will come from to pay these debts don't we?
It is time the voter stood up and screamed and said, "That is enough!" and tossed the current City of Toronto Councillors out on their butts.

There is "hope" however because there is today and a tomorrow; there is "hope" only if the voters of Toronto realize that this is their city. It is not Miller or Fords city; it is our city your city and my city.

Please vote

Television Propaganda and Censorship

CTV (CP24) televises live debates of candidates for Mayor of Toronto; however,  only five (5) candidates are asked or allowed to attend these debates. Five candidates out of thirty-five are deemed by CTV to be worthy of attention in the October election. I am sure that the voters would like to hear from all the candidates but, CTV has restricted the democratic process.

The voters of this city thirst for information on the position and history of candidates for Mayor and would like to hear their views in a full complement  debate. This information (opportunity) is being censored (restricted) by CTV (CP24). It is being limited to only those candidates deemed worthy by CP24. As told to me today on the telephone by Amanda Riser, Public Relations, CP24 (416-384-2400), "These are the candidates we feel are worthy in this election."

So much for democracy and freedom; hello, media propaganda and censorship!

Please vote in October. Your vote is important to me.

Respectfully,

Barry Goodhead

Apathay

People:
The City of Toronto is politically controlled by "racketeers" i.e. Ralph Lean of Cassels Brock Law Firm.
We all know this; we all know that he is backing (money) Mr Smitherman; we all know that Mr Fords woes are a direct result of Mr. Leans ability to expose anyone he wishes, rightly or wrongly, for political gain. If you want a puppet as Mayor vote Mr. Smitherman; if you want a wife abuser vote Ford. I suggest to you that neither is mentally, morally or ethically equipped to be the Mayor of Toronto.

The people of Toronto must stop fraud in the politics of Toronto. We need all the money we can get to upgrade our roads, sewer, water lines, and transportation. The infrastructure in this city has been allowed to rust and age under Mr. Miller (also a Mr. Lean man). We do not need show projects in this city; we need "meat and potato" infrastructure repair and upgrades. This will add 1,000's of jobs to the city's payroll and much needed income to the people of Toronto.

I am sick and tired of "dirty politicians" in this city. We need a change and we need it immediately.

Vote Goodhead in October. I will take no donations for my campaign.
There are nor ever will be "strings" attached to me!!!!

Please vote wisely and lets reawaken the spirit of Toronto.

Political Platform Highlights

The Toronto City Council and the Metropolitan Police Force are dysfunctional under Mayor Miller's tenure.

There is "NO" acceptable financial planning by City Council. They operate on a "If we need more money in the future we will simply increase property taxes or find other methods of taxation to fit the need". This is unacceptable!

Metropolitan Police Chief Bill Blair seems unable to cope with the rising "gun assisted" crimes in Toronto, and when pressed to show leadership as was needed in the recent G20 and G8 Conferences he  alienated the people of Toronto. Chief Blair has caused, by his actions, a stream of civil law suits brought by angry spectators having been arrested without charge during these conferences. In my opinion he has disgraced this City and has portrayed Toronto to the international news media as a "police state".

Platform

1. I will stop the use of private consulting firms by the City of Toronto. Toronto employs lawyers, city planners, transportation engineers, etc. All  necessary planning, studies, surveys, etc. necessary for good, stable city operations can be accomplished by City employees. City Council has used private consulting firms to "cover their asses" when the subject of these studies are politically explosive in nature. They can then tell the public, "It wasn't us"e.g. Mayors recommended salary increase. The City spends millions in this manner. There is absolutely "no value for dollar" in the use of private consulting firms by the Toronto Council.

2. I will demand a complete forensic audit of the City of Toronto and its spin off corporations just to see where the City stands financially.

3. I will demand that the Chief of Police become an elected position making the Chief accountable to the voters of this City and not to City Council. At present the Police Force acts as if they are above the law.

4. I will cut the budget of the Police force by 10%. Their  budget stands at $900,000,000 or 10% of the city budget.  Property taxes can then be reduced by $90,000,000

5. All expenditures made by the City must cross my desk to be scrutinized before payments are made.

6. The contract to purchase a new landfill site in St. Thomas, ON will be revisited as I know from personal, first hand knowledge that the sale price of $273 million is inflated and contains disturbing information not disclosed by City Council to the public.

At present the Mayor and Toronto Councillors  do not represent the views of the voter nor act in the best interest of the voter. They have their own agenda. It is my view that as Mayor it would be my duty to act in accordance with the wishes of the majority of the voters. The Mayor has only one responsibility. He/She must act for the people of Toronto not as he/she wishes, but as the people demand.

I will represent you and work for you, the voter.
Respectfully.

Barry C. Goodhead
