Television Propaganda and Censorship

CTV (CP24) televises live debates of candidates for Mayor of Toronto; however,  only five (5) candidates are asked or allowed to attend these debates. Five candidates out of thirty-five are deemed by CTV to be worthy of attention in the October election. I am sure that the voters would like to hear from all the candidates but, CTV has restricted the democratic process.

The voters of this city thirst for information on the position and history of candidates for Mayor and would like to hear their views in a full complement  debate. This information (opportunity) is being censored (restricted) by CTV (CP24). It is being limited to only those candidates deemed worthy by CP24. As told to me today on the telephone by Amanda Riser, Public Relations, CP24 (416-384-2400), "These are the candidates we feel are worthy in this election."

So much for democracy and freedom; hello, media propaganda and censorship!

Please vote in October. Your vote is important to me.

Respectfully,

Barry Goodhead
Candidate for Mayor
